Looking forward to a great meet on Tuesday
4/20/2021. This is just a reminder that the deadline to enter your
athletes is Thursday, April 15th, 4:00pm. You are allowed 3 entries in
individual events and 1 relay team. A 4th entry in individual events is
permitted if all 4 athletes have established a mark equal or better than the
qualifying mark for that event and classification.
Admission: $6.00 per person.
Schedule:
1:00pm Coaches meeting by timing tent
1:15pm Implement
Inspection - Mike Zelazo (Riverview) - Throws Field
2:00pm Long Jump
G/B, High Jump G, Discus G, Pole Vault G, Shot Put B, Javelin B and 4x800m G & B
3:30pm or at the conclusion of the
2:00pm events. Triple Jump G & B, High Jump B, Discus B, Pole Vault B, Shot
Put G, Javelin G.
5:00pm - 100mH/110mH (continue
with a rolling schedule). Athletes should be aware where their events
fall on the schedule. Runners will check-in at the table near the start
of the 110 meters Hurdles and field events at the field event areas.
Athletes in the 800m, 1600m, 3200m will receive a number to be worn on their
left chest prior to reporting to the start line.

Please bring your own measuring
tapes and clipboards for the field events. We will have the score
sheets. All field events must be measured using the metric system.
Field events except (High Jump and Pole Vault) are finals with 4 attempts.
Jury of Appeal. 1 head coach each from the
following schools. Armwood, Bloomingdale, Lennard, Plant City and
Newsome. Riverview is the alternate juror.
Athletes should enter the infield
through the gate by the 110mHurdles start and exit through the
gate past the finish line
Do not jump any fences and stay out
of the school. If caught, you may be disqualified.

Points of Emphasis
1. Anything worn under
the uniform is now considered a foundation garment. Foundation garments are not subject to
length/logo/trademark/references or color restrictions.
2. All relay team
members must wear must wear uniforms clearly indicating through predominant
color, school logo and color combinations of all outer garments worn as a
uniform, that members are from the same team.
3. Many garments that
have stitching outlining the crotch are illegal. These are, for all
intent and purpose, considered underwear or foundation garments. Any
shorts with a flap/opening over the crotch is illegal. Athletes wearing
inappropriate attire will not be allowed to compete.
4. Legal Uniform Bottom.
Shorts with 1 logo on the waistband and one logo on the thigh are a legal
uniform.
5. Jewelry. No
restrictions. An official may ask a competitor to remove an
accessory if it is not properly secured or has a high probability of
injuring an athlete.
6. Prohibited
Technology. No cell phones in competition areas. The prohibition begins once
the athletes enter the clerking area, to check in for a running event, or upon
reporting for a field event, to check in.
7. Headbands worn by
competitors shall be unadorned - no beads or tails
nor display any reference to non-school teams.
8. State Series Scratch
Rules - Know the difference between Did not start (DNS) and Did not finish
(DNF).
9. Exchange Zones.
4x100 meters relay exchange zones are 30 meters. Athletes must start and
receive the baton within the 30 meters exchange zones.
10. Unsportsmanlike
Conduct. Communicate the sportsmanlike policy, guidelines and code of
conduct with your athletes and parents.
The meet will be run in compliance
with local health guidelines. Covid-19 regulations will be enforced by
each competing school.
