West Orange HS -Dr. Baptiste Invitational 

Date: Friday, March 3, 2023                                                                                                             

Location and Start time: West Orange High School at 5:15pm                                                                 

Meet Description: The meet date has changed since our previous post and will now have to take place on Friday, 03/03/23.

Coaches Meeting 5:15pm in field next to timer,

Field Events 5:45pm,

Running starts at 6pm with 4X800; (rolling schedule). There will be a special “300m Showcase” featuring 1 heat for boys and girls. The winner will receive a special gift! To be entered in the 300m Showcase an athlete will have to meet at least one of these qualifying standards and be verifiable from the 2022 or 2023: Boys (100m=10.8, 200m=22.3, 400m=50.2, or 800m=2:04 and for Girls (100m=12.6, 200m=27.2, 400m=58.6, or 800m 2:23.

Timing will be done by Elite Timing along with other track and field officials.

Fee per team is $250 or per gender $150, 3 entries per athlete, individual metals for top 3 places per event, 1^st place team trophy and Runners-Up trophy for top scoring boys’ and girls’ team, and there will be a full concession stand. This is an "Invitational Meet" and invites will be sent out to the teams on the invited list BUT other HS coaches can also contact us for possible entry or be added to our team waiting list.

This meet is now limited to the first 12 teams to accept the invite, confirm attendance via email, and register. All online entries are due by Tuesday, 2/28/23 by 11:59pm. A follow-up email will be sent out to confirm a team’s presence at the meet. All entry fees are preferred to be received by Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, to secure registration. Mail and make payments for all entry fees to West Orange High School, c/o Track and Field Program, 1625 Beulah Rd, Winter Garden, FL 34787.
