Dr. Phillips High School Pre-Season Invitational 2023 WELCOME Dr. Phillips High School (DPHS) would like to welcome you to the 1st Annual Pre-Season Invitational 2021. This meet will take place at Bill Spoone Stadium on Friday, February 10, 2023. The Panthers are looking forward to hosting this event, and hope to have a great day of fun and competition. Please contact Coach Frank C. Fountain at 407-970-5362 or by email at Frank.Fountain@ocps.net if you have any questions or concerns. Admission: There will be online ticket sales through gofan.co. The gofan.co link will be posted closer to the event. No cash or credit card payments will be accepted at the gate. Entries: All teams will be limited to 3 entries per event. All entries must be posted to directathletics.com no later than 11:59pm on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. The entry fee is $100 per school and is due by Monday, January 30, 2023. Checks must be made payable to: Dr. Phillips High School Track 6500 Turkey Lake Road Orlando, FL 32819 Awards: No awards will be presented Concessions: There will be a limited concession offerings during the meet. Spikes: The track surface is all weather rubber. 6mm or inch pyramid spikes are the maximum size allowed on the track surf. Spikes will be checked during the check in process. INVITED SCHOOLS The following schools have been invited to this event: Dr. Phillips High School Host School Cypress Creek, Freedom, Lake Buena Vista, Ocoee, Olympia, Tohopekaliga, Winter Park Competition: Athletes will report ready to compete (dressed out with proper footwear and implements if required). This will be strictly enforced! No athletes will be allowed on the infield unless they have checked in and are participating in the upcoming event. Warm-ups will be allowed on the infield after check-in, and coaches are allowed on the infield or in the designated coachs box for the event. Athletes must leave the infield immediately at the conclusion of their heat or event. Opening Heights and Minimum Marking Distances: Will be determined after all entries have been received. Field Events: With the exception of the High Jump (HJ) and Pole Vault (PV), all field events are finals only and 3 attempts only. All athletes will check in at the designated field event location. All field events will be measured in metric units. Event Assignments: Each school is assigned to clerk the following field events below: Dr. Phillips Pole Vault (Girls/Boys) Javelin (Girls/Boys) High Jump (Girls/Boys) Cypress Creek & Tohopekaliga Long Jump & Triple Jump (Girls) Freedom & Olympia Long Jump & Triple Jump (Boys) Lake Buena Vista Shot Put (Boys/Girls) Ocoee Discus (Boys/Girls)
