2023 Freedom Last Chance Meet

 Information

Fees: Entry fee is $200 per school. Please make checks payable to Freedom High School, Attn: Track and Field. To enter athletes as individuals with limited entries, please contact meet director at katie.angel@ocps.net.

Entries: Each school is allowed 3 entries per running or field event and one relay each in each event. Online entry on Direct Athletics: Sunday, April 9th at Midnight.

Tents: Can be set up on the West Field behind the bleachers, and participants will enter through the North Gate by the 100m starting line.

Tickets: link will be sent at a later date

Concessions: We will have a full concessions with pizza, hot dogs, nachos, chips, drinks, and candy.

 

Field Events

Finals only with a third attempt for Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put and Javelin Field Events will begin at 4:00 PM

Long Jump (both boys and girls) Boys Shot Put, followed by girls

Girls Javelin, followed by Boys

Girls High Jump, followed by boys

 

Triple Jump will start 10 minutes after Long Jump finishes

***We do not have the equipment to safely run the Discus or Pole Vault, so we will not have those events.***

 

 

Running Events

All races are finals. Races with multiple heats will be seeded with top seeds in last heat.

We will work on a rolling schedule for all running events.

All races will be Girls first, followed by Boys

Please note that we have limited entries in the hurdle events to only two per school and will run only lanes 2-6.
