August 27th, 2022 Arrival time: 6:30 Varsity girls: 8:00 Varsity Boys: 8:35 (Top 7) JV Boys: 9:05 JV Girls: 9:10 (Unlimited) Cost per school: $100 Per team if only one gender: $65 Please send checks by August 23: Make checks out to: Citrus High School XC Address: Citrus High School XC Att: Karen Tyler 600 W Highland Blvd Inverness, FL 34452 Course: Whispering Pines is well known as one of the best courses in the area. It is mostly shaded and a mixture of small hills and flat stretches. Approx. 2.5 miles hard-packed dirt trails, .2 asphalt, .2 lime rock, .2 grass. A true cross-country course. Address: Whispering Pines Park, 1700 Forest Dr. Inverness, FL 34453 From downtown Inverness (intersection of HWY 44 and HWY 41) and Citrus High School, Turn right at the first light after Winn Dixie, Pleasant Grove (or Forest Drive). First right into the park. Park buses at the first large parking lot by baseball fields. Parking: As you enter Whispering Pines Park, bus parking will be to the right at the stop sign. For additional parking for cars, turn left and go to the roundabout. There is some parking at the pool and a small parking area near the field where the start/finish will be staged. Limited Space: Registration will be open to the first 30 teams. Contact: Please contact Karen Tyler if you wish to be placed on the waiting list or need more information tylerk3@citrusschools.org Tickets: Spectator tickets will be paid online. Information will be emailed to coaches closer to race date. There will be no parking fee.
